Micro Sequence, the smallest sequencer miniMO and Paraphonic Module

Pittsburgh Modular introduce Micro Sequence, Jose Gonzalez releases an accessory set and a program turning miniMO into a tiny sequencer, while Radikal Technologies shows a photo of Jorg Schaaf's Paraphonic Module

Pittsburgh Lifeforms Micro Sequence

An 8-step sequencer capable of programming was released by Pittsburgh Modular. Lifeforms Micro Sequence offers 8 sliders with channel mute, 8 sequencer direction modes, 8 quantized scales, 4 external modulation functions, 8-step sequences, built-in tap tempo clock, 8-step external clock divider, Run/Stop transport button, sequence reset button, and dedicated analog CV output.

Lifeforms Micro Sequence is priced at $199.

DELTA CEP A - Paraphonic Modular Synthesizer

Jorg Schaaf has shared some information about the upcoming paraphonic synth - DELTA CEP A - Paraphonic Modular Synthesizer. Radikal Technologies have showed the front panel layout of the instrument.

The photo doesn’t depict a complete module – only the panel itself with this being explained as not willing to show Schaaf’s studio where he’s been working on an instrument.

“Paraphonic” implies several oscillators but single filter, VCA and envelope a signal can be put through. The oscillator is based on "Swarm Oscillator" model seen previously on RT-311 Eurorack module. There are controls for modulation, mixer, VCF, ADSR and VCA, patch points, while the mixer section shows one oscillator knob and External In control. The unit is going to fit Eurorack systems as soon as the front panel seems to offer mounting holes. There are a few double-labeled controls among which “modwheel” and “kb-scale” are featured hinting at keyboard basic functionality.

miniMO

An 8-bit modular synth miniMO has been developed by Jose Gonzalez who created an accessory set and a program with which the module can be transformed into a MIDI sequencer. The developed set allows for connecting miniMO to MIDI synth turning the module into the cheapest and smallest sequencer on the market.

It’s an open source project which you can build for free. The unit features configurable number of steps, configurable scales, real time Tempo control, real time Transposition with configurable intervals, real time Octave control with configurable number of octaves, real time selection of forward or reverse playback, step Edition Mode with real time note and length control, random sequence generation on start up, automatic Battery check.
