Many ARP and Korg fans as well as all the analog devotees were just happy to hear about KORG ARP Odyssey release but some of them were deeply upset about those mini keys of not the highest quality (for example, in comparison to Modal 001 standard keyboard or even a much cheaper AKAI Timbre Wolf). That’s why the announcement of the desktop version is good news although the original ARP Odyssey didn’t plan to create such a device in order to keep the series going. The desktop Odyssey made by Korg would be quite relevant to the modern market requirements regarding the growth of analog synth popularity.
The official KORG ARP Odyssey page’s got nothing to say about what happened - the company clearly holds its tongue. We’re waiting…
