Company’s reputation wasn’t always perfect but owing to ambitious Uli Behringer and his smart pricing policy the brand has been doing well lately in its own niche. Behringer used to produce clones of Minimoog, Prophet 5, Odyssey that’s why “clone followers” first claimed DeepMind 12 to become the new Roland Juno. But it’s surely not like that at all.
At first sight there might be something in common considering the overall looks and some inner traits, but later with a second oscillator, double-mode filter and new effecs it became clear that this one is of its own kind. Tribute? Maybe, but not a copy.
According to Sweetwater DeepMind 12 will be available in USA for just $999. European Thomann will be taking orders selling it for 1198€ (delivery and VAT included).
