Akai Pro MPC Live is rigged with a full color 7” multi touch display, 16 velocity sensitive backlit pads, 4 Q-Link knobs and a master encoder knob. The workstation sports the multicore processor, 2 GB RAM, supports external hard drive up to 16 GB as well as features an SD card slot. That makes the new model the most powerful unit among the previous MPC series instruments.
MPC Live has a nice housing, light weight (< 2.5 kg), is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, has a touch screen and is good for both active performing and composing.
The connectivity of the new unit is represented by MIDI (2 ins/2 outs), it can be easily integrated with controllers and other MIDI supporting devices. There are 2 audio ins, 6 configurable outputs for studio and stage purposes. It operates on the MPC Software 2.0.
The release is set for the first quarter of 2017. You’ll be able to purchase it for €1000.
