Both of the devices differ from previous Akai MPC line versions a lot. The key new feature of MPC Eclipse is the capability to function independently which makes you free from the necessity to resort to a computer every time you use it.
This time the models included 16Gb RAM for storing samples. These specs will surely revive that demand for such kind of machines which have been suffering considerable popularity loss since 1990 because of lacking those features (to have these devices operating properly you need to install software).
All we know is that MPC Live should be available by Christmas at the price of $899. MPC Eclipse will be announced in the end of January at NAMM Show in 2017. An approximate cost of MPC Eclipse is $2000.
P.S. On the picture you can see the interface prototype which is close to that one of MPC Touch.
