Loop was first organized by Ableton in 2015 and since then, as a good tradition, it has been held every year. During the 3-day event, performances, workshops and interactive seminars will be offered so that all the participants could exchange ideas about the future of music, technology and creativity.
Loop 2017 visitors are welcomed by Nosaj Thing together with the Japanese artist Daito Manabe, they will see a live performance by Laurel Halo and drummer Eli Keszler. The guests of the event will be able to take part in conversations with Ben Frost, Goldie and Chloe x Halle, listen to the Canadian duo Tennyson, meet the Grammy-winning production team 1500 or Nothin', hip-hop band from Philadelphia The Roots, JD Twitch, a Scottish DJ, and Goth-Trad, a Japanese dubstep producer. The event will be honored by the presence of the Syrian avant-jazz group The Khaled Kurbeh & Raman Khalaf Ensemble.
Besides, Loop 2017 program will include installations of audio and video artists of AntiVJ label with a series of Guitar Moves sessions with Matt Sweeney, live performances by Jenny Hval, mobilegirl, Nick Collins and his Supercollider presentation, Visible Cloaks and Kaki King, Andrei Smirnov demonstrating Theremin’s Rhythmicon, and Trevor Wishart, an electroacoustic composition pioneer, with his presentation.
The event managers announced earlier in that Loop will invite such acts as Jlin and Machinedrum, African music band The Nile Project, a popular engineer Mandy Parnell, Susan Rogers – Prince's audio engineer and Berklee professor, ambient music of William Basinski and Teenage Engineering – music technicians and explorers.

Among workshops, studio sessions and interactive, which take place during 3 days, everything is aimed at ensuring that artists, producers, teachers and creative technologists working in the music field are not bored.
While attending the event, you’ll become a participant of the conversations on equipment soldering, working with traditional instruments and percussion, get acquainted with the «Under the Radar» music theory (learn how to escape from 4/4 time in electronic music), bass management bootcamp, and visit a number of workshops brought to you by Shure to get to know everything about field recording.
As for the series of Loop studio sessions, which will be conducted by experienced hosts, they will be focused on a detailed study of individual methods and processes in the workflow of musicians and producers of different genres. The guests will be part of activities which offer track deconstruction lessons, studio work master-classes, track feedback sessions, mixing & mastering classes, sessions on analog recording and production techniques, and much more. Dolby Laboratories, the official partners of the event, will show the audience the power of their music system Dolby Atmos, arranging a series of studio mixing sessions.
