a proprietary digital amplifier modeling technology by Roland/ Boss.
Filter overdrive occurs when the input signal to a filter is amplified to a level that causes the filter to distort. This typically results in a more aggressive, gritty sound as the filter's components are pushed beyond their linear operating range. Overdrive can add harmonics and compression to the sound, giving it more presence and character.
Filter self-oscillation happens when the filter's resonance is increased to a point where it begins to generate a tone on its own, even without an input signal. This occurs because the filter's output is fed back into its input, creating a feedback loop. The frequency of this self-generated tone corresponds to the filter's cutoff frequency.
Function that allows you play phrases (sequence of notes) back by pressing a single key.
