Rolando worked at Moog Music before founding Make Noise in 2008 in Asheville, North Carolina — the same city as Moog's modern factory. His designs include Maths (an analog function generator based on Buchla/Serge utility modules), the shared-bus Complex Oscillator system, and the 0-Coast — a desktop semi-modular instrument bridging Eurorack with Moog-style East Coast patching.

Make Noise's graphic design, module naming, and circuit philosophy have influenced the aesthetic and sonic direction of the entire Eurorack ecosystem. Rolando emphasizes instruments as compositional tools rather than preset machines.
