Kurt Kurasaki is a Roland engineer who contributed to some of the company's most ambitious synthesizer platforms from the 1990s through the 2000s, spanning rompler workstations and experimental synthesis architectures.

Kurasaki worked on the JD-800, a forward-looking digital synth that restored hands-on control with sliders for real-time sound shaping — a response to the menu-driven workstations of its era. He also contributed to the V-Synth, which combined variable architecture synthesis, elastic audio manipulation, and a touch-sensitive controller surface.

His involvement with the Fantom series connected him to Roland's flagship workstation lineage, instruments that integrated sampling, synthesis, sequencing, and effects into stage and studio hubs used worldwide.
