Junichi Ikeuchi is a prolific Japanese synthesizer engineer whose work spans Roland and Korg, two companies that shaped the sound of pop, electronic, and soundtrack music from the 1980s onward.

At Roland, Ikeuchi contributed to the Alpha Juno series — compact, affordable polysynths with the "Alpha Dial" interface — and later to the JD-Xi, a hybrid analog/digital groove box combining Roland's legacy PCM tones with a simple analog synth section.

At Korg, his engineering touched the M1, the world's best-selling synthesizer workstation; the T-series; and the Kronos, Korg's flagship professional workstation. This breadth of involvement connects him to both the birth of the workstation concept and its modern evolution.
