The final RD-700SX sound tone shaping is carried out thanks to COSM technology, which allowed creating the most realistic emulation. A set of sounds can also be expanded by adding two extra SRX boards. The oscillator of the instrument is compatible with GM2. RD-700SX has 128-voice polyphony capabilities.
The instrument has a dual multi-effect engine onboard. The effects section included reverb, chorus, a 3-band equalizer with adjustable frequency and a 3-band compressor. The front panel of the instrument included convenient controls: sliders, buttons, LCD, which greatly simplified the setting of RD-700SX. This is very important for performers who need instant access to the sounds and parameters in their digital piano. A musician gets 100 factory settings which can also be changed and saved for later use.
In general RD-700SX has an advanced MIDI and USB interface, which allows it to be integrated with other equipment in order to copy, transfer and record sound.
The model included a weighted keyboard with the Authentic Progressive Hammer Action (88 keys), which allowed to convey all the sensations of the real grand piano performance: the keys have a heavier return in the lower range and a lighter response in the upper one. The presence of the Micro Tune Edit function allows you to edit the settings of each key.
