DJ-controller Pioneer DDJ-RR appeared on the shelves in 2016. It embraced many different functions from other devices of the DDJ series, and also entered the list of budget options. The device has an attractive black color scheme. The front panel is completely metal, and the rest of the housing is made of rigid plastic. One of the main features is that it can be used as a standalone mixer connected to the turntables. Like the rest of the DDJ-R series, the device works with Rekordbox DJ.
The DJ controller includes a 2-channel mixer with 3 band equalizers per each, 2 scroll bars, and a crossfader. The mixer section also stores all the necessary knobs: the overall volume level, the volume of the monitor, headphones, and also a sampler. It is worth noting that the most prominent feature of DDJ-RR is its 2 platters. Compared to the DDJ-SR's predecessor, they got slightly larger, besides, the LED in the center lights up depending on the current status.
Above the platters there are scrollbars for fast track navigation, "Beat FX" effects, as well as reverse and "slip" buttons. In the lower part there are also other sections of 8 different colored pads and 4 buttons on each side, which are necessary for the proper performance. Hot Cue and Slicer allow you to instantly switch to any part of the composition, cut samples for looping, or so-called "stuttering", while "Pad FX" offers a set of effects: phaser, reverb, delay and others.

Pioneer DDJ-RX became one of the most outstanding DJ controllers among the DDJ series. It is designed to work with Rekordbox DJ software. Its body consists of a chunky plastic shell with a metal top plate, heavy enough to be strong, but still retaining...
The DDJ line by Pioneer DJ went through a lot of updates, but DDJ-RZX controller became the "all-seeing eye", because it is the only video controller from the entire series. First of all, DDJ-RZX has 3 touch screens, which display information about the...
DDJ-RZ was released in 2015. The controller has a 4-channel mixer and 2 high-quality platters with an adjustable "feel" from light to heavy, taken from CDJ-2000NXS. In fact, DDJ-RZ mirrors DDJ-SZ, the Serato controller released in 2014. The rear panel...
