Light, compact, and far from "toy" plastic DJ-controllers, DDJ-RB from Pioneer DJ looks like a serious device. Its body, like the facade, is made of rigid plastic, and the knobs of the 3-band equalizer with the filter also made of plastic, but they do not look cheap.
Platters are practically no different from DDJ-SB2: this time they are rendered with a stylish glossy coating of black color. The 2-channel mixer has faders and a crossfader, which are identical to the predecessor DDJ-RR. In the front there is a single 3.5 mm headphone jack, and on the rear panel there are one pair of RCA, USB outputs, and a 6.3 mm microphone input.
The controller has 2 large platters, and this is quite unusual for such small controllers as DDJ-RB. It also has 2 rows of performance pads used for instantly jumping to a specific track fragment, cutting samples, and a set of effects from a phaser, reverb, or gate. DDJ-RB works in combination with Rekordbox DJ software.
