Korg M3R is a rackmount module that has the basic functionality of the legendary Korg M1 synthesizer.
Besides the lack of a keyboard and sequencer, Korg M3R rack module differs from Korg M1 workstation in size which is quite smaller and in fact that it doesn’t allow creating DOUBLE programs. Models M1 and M3R are incompatible with each other so you won’t be able to upload patches designed for Korg M1. If you need this compatibility, then it's worth thinking about the rack variant M1, which is called M1R.
