Generator is a kind of a double voltage-controlled oscillator. It does not conform to the 1 volt per octave, and also has no temperature compensation. These factors limit the use of the oscillator, but allow you to create complex FM tones and atonal drum sounds.
Both VCOs produce a triangular wave, have a frequency controller, a three-position range switch and a modulation input.
The input for an external source of FM modulation (External) has an attenuator and a direction switch (VCO1 or 2).
The built-in wave distortion simultaneously controls the waveform of both oscillators and mixes them. At the extreme left position of the "shape" knob, the VCO1 signal will turn into meander, and VCO2 will generate a triangle. At the extreme right – vice versa.
At the bottom of the module there’s a voltage controlled amplifier. It has a CV control input, a sensitivity control and is aimed at processing the VCO1 signal.
The module serves to expand the capabilities of the Generator. 2 ribbon cables connect the modules (included in the delivery). Genexpander provides four functions: Waveshaper - designed to convert waveforms. A simultaneous generation of triangular and...
