Analog Replicator is a delay built on two BBD chips.

Delay is conventionally considered to be analog, since the BBD (Bucket Brigade Device) technology is something between the analogue and the digital (the signal is discretized in time, but not quantized in amplitude).

The chip used in the module has 4,096 stages (capacitors), which allows a maximum delay of 1.3 seconds. When the "8192" mode is turned on, the chips work in sequence, and the resulting delay is 2.6 seconds.

The "SHORT/LONG" switch sets the limits for adjusting the delay time:

10 - 175 mSec / 10 - 1300 mS for 4096.

20 - 350 mSec / 20 - 2600 mS for 8192.

It should be taken into account that this type of delay is characterized by loss of signal quality with increasing delay time.

The parameters of the delay time, feedback and the ratio of the direct signal to the delay have an input for external CVs (control signals). This allows for complex modulated delays and chorus effects.
