In 2007 the music market got an improved version of the digital piano MP8 - MP8 II with enhanced performance. The number of internal sounds compared to the first instrument of the MP4 series, was increased 4 times up to 256, and polyphony – up to 192 notes. The instrument zones can now be controlled both internally and through external sources. Individual faders allow you to configure each zone and can be managed intuitively in real time.
Based on Harmonic Imaging II technology Kawai MP8 II can reproduce high-quality recorded samples. The MP8 has 4 zones that can be individually set for INT and EXT. Zones can be played separately or simultaneously. Multi zones allowed the musician to operate them freely: to make layers, to change speed, creating a complex musical palette.
The instrument has 7 types of reverb: Plate, reverb 1, reverb 2, Stage 1, Stage 2, Room 1, Room 2. Also 4 effects processors with 20 types of effects: Chorus, Flanger, Celeste, Ensemble, Delay 1-4, Auto Pan 1-2, Tremolo 1-2, Phaser 1-2, Rotary 1-2, Auto Wah, Pedal Wah, Enhancer, Overdrive.
The MP8 II keyboard with 88-weighted keys is based on AWA Grand PRO II technology, which gives more control in a dynamic performance. The instrument has a keyboard with a special Ivory Feel coating, preventing the finger slip (as much as in EX Concert Grand Piano). A double pedal F-20, as well as optional accessories - the F-10 pedal and the expression pedal V-20X – are Included in the kit.
MP8 II by Kawai appeared on the music market as an excellent professional digital piano with high quality sound, a quality keyboard with the Grand PRO II technology of the second generation. The improved MP8 II model will appeal to devotees of live performances, willing to find a worthy assistant in their creativity.
