It was upcoming and then it came true! Roland JD-Xa is a great synthesizer which gives us something we’ve never had before – digital and analog voices together, step sequencer, classic control and other useful treats to enjoy. Although it brought a bit of a letdown – “no drums attached”. We had to use drums separately resorting to an external device: Scott Tibbs wasn’t going to conceal it either making his demo videos as true as they can be.

Roland was blushing with shame fixing the drawback and calling the library Real Analog Drums which, by the way, includes popular TR styles. These are not PCM samples offered by the digital part of the synth – this is actually JD-Xa analog section matter where you get everything to emulate drums.
