This new model is the flagship of the successful line of digital pianos made by Roland. A powerful multi-channel speaker system was placed in a modern compact musical instrument housing, and the carefully selected range of sounds introduced in the FP-90 allowed the instrument to be used in a wide variety of musical genres. String, organ, and synth sections are now at your disposal! MIDI and Bluetooth support allows you to establish a wireless connection to other musical instruments of the brand, as well as to integrate it with music applications.
The instrument is equipped with useful functions in terms of storing sounds and their settings using special sliders. The built-in loudspeaker also allows you to get high-quality sound with the use of voice effects without additional download of any add-ons. WAV or MP3 format files are loaded via USB.
The special technology by Roland for modeling premium sound quality, SuperNATURAL, gave the instrument the richest and most complex sound that can be altered with different playing techniques a musician might apply. How does this technology work? It transmits the individual timbre of each note played, which makes it possible to create a smooth and natural transition of the timbre from the lowest to the highest (as in acoustic) - in general, gives the instrument an ample and dynamic range of sound. The notes themselves differ from each other in the number of strings tuned in unison, the length and string braid and the hammer weight. The richness of the chords which the acoustic concert grand piano provides is achieved through the addition of each unique timbre of one note to the overall flow.
The keyboard should be mentioned independently. This is a new type of PHA-50 (Progressive Hammer Action with Escapement) keyboard, which combines the best materials, durable, reliable internal frame and, at the same time, greater sensitivity of the keys. Longevity is the main characteristic of the new PHA-50.
Powerful built-in speakers give a rich and loud sound with the ability to adjust it thanks to a 3-band equalizer. It doesn’t matter where the musician plays - the acoustic system of the electronic piano will allow the instrument to sound splendid both on stage and in a small room.
Bluetooth function. Thanks to built-in Bluetooth wireless support, the electronic piano goes one step ahead of other instruments, quickly putting music through the powerful speakers.
For FP-90 there is a special Partner 2 application offered by Roland, which allowed to get high-quality accompaniment with access to different musical genres.
Despite such an impressive set of the latest technologies introduced into the instrument, it should be noted that its exterior design remained simple enough and exquisite. FP-90 remains an excellent portable instrument, as much as its predecessors FP-80 and FP-50.
Musicians who catch music inspiration anywhere they happen to be will obviously need to try this product. And when you connect a special stand KSC-90, pedals KPD-90, DP-10 or triple RPU-3, the instrument becomes an excellent piano for both studio and stage and even home use.
