Traktor Kontrol S4 needs no introduction, it's the flagship controller for working with Traktor Pro 2 software, and one which has 4 channels that are tightly integrated with the software. There is no doubt that this model was a huge success, and NI claims that S4 beat all records of sales among DJ products.

When prices began to drop in 2013, excitement and anticipation swirled the DJ community, fueling speculation about new features that could be expected: touch strips, Traktor DJ support, iPhone and iPad, Remix Deck integration, wireless communication, USB ports, color screens, etc.

The new 4-channel S4 MK2 controller comes with the full version of Traktor Pro 2. For each channel, separate 3-band equalizers, LF/HF filters, and an amplifier are provided. The device got new RGB-buttons for transport controls and cue. They are tactful enough and highly responsive to pressing. Playability is especially important when you work in the loop mode in Traktor DJ with iPad or iPhone. In addition, Traktor Kontrol S4 MK2 has new aluminum boards. They became more sensitive for scratching.

The long-awaited update appeared on the rear panel of the S4 MK2 - monitor outputs (TRS 6.3 mm) with a volume control. The update affected some interface details - "Flux" mode buttons appeared. The popular function was not previously available for manipulation in S4, so it's nice to know that it was added, and in a very convenient location under the platters.
