The E-mu Systems Emulator II was a digital sampling keyboard released in 1984. It was one of the first samplers to be widely used in popular music production. It was capable of sampling up to 32kHz and had a maximum sample memory of 8MB. It featured a built-in sequencer and a variety of effects, including reverb, chorus, and delay. It was used by a variety of artists, including Depeche Mode, The Prodigy, and Aphex Twin.
